What’s your day to day like? What are your main responsibilities?
Mostly administrative. Doing the paperwork to add pieces to the museum’s permanent collection, numbering the pieces, adding them to the database. Also attempting to raise funds.
What is your absolute favorite part of your job? ?
Researching the history behind individual pieces, followed closely by dealing with visitors.
What advice would you give someone that wants to work in your profession?
Be committed to it, and don’t expect to become wealthy.
What is the best part about working in the museum industry? ??
Spreading knowledge.
What part of your job is the most surprising?
The interest of some visitors.
