GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES:

The individual is a key team player to ensure top of the class customer service and creating memorable experience for each and every customer. This position is responsible for performing daily functions within the Direct-to-Consumer Customer Service Department, including phone activity and email correspondence. Successful candidates will be responsible for answering incoming customer calls, utilizing company policies to solve customer issues and directing calls to the managerial team when necessary. The Customer Service Associate is often times the first point of contact for customers’ questions and concerns so we are interested in hiring individuals with a commitment to customer satisfaction and an ability to make quick and accurate decisions. This position is located in Middle Village Queens, NY.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILIES & DUTIES:

  • Oversee 3rd party Customer Service vendor
  • Initial escalation point for customer care
  • Answer customer service telephone calls & email inquires
  • Respond to Customer Service emails in a timely manner
  • Process/key mail orders & returns
  • Verify customer data via banking institutions
  • Process/release orders via order processing system
  • Collaborate with warehouse team (onsite), offsite marketing team and Membership department as needed
  • Assist with entering agent messaging in Order Management System
  • Other related duties

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 2 years in a Customer Service environment (telephone- and email-based as opposed to in-store)
  • Experience with multi-channel order processing systems (catalog and web)
  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks according to work flow/deadlines
  • Excellent telephone manner and listening skills

Knowledge & Education:

  • Working knowledge of back-end order processing systems
  • Familiarity with front-end website functionality (frequent online shoppers welcome!)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word
  • High school diploma required. College degree a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 /hour
