Overview

The Communications Assistant provides support to the Director of Marketing in the promotion of museum exhibitions, public programs, and other initiatives. This position plays an integral role in generating external and internal communications.

General tasks include

media research, writing press releases, responding to media inquiries, website maintenance, and producing content for social media and other digital platforms.

Qualified candidates will have

a Bachelor’s degree in communications or art related field with 2-3 years progressively responsible work experience. Superior writing, editing, and proofing skills required. Must have advanced proficiency in computer skills; Adobe Design or Word Press a plus.  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills necessary.
